Liquid Metal:  A Fresh Take on Design

The blending of metals and textures takes centre stage in luxury home design. Using mixed metals in interior design reflects a boldness to break away from monochromatic themes, allowing homeowners and designers to play with a spectrum of colours and finishes. Each type of metal, from the sleek sheen of brushed titanium to the inviting warmth of rose gold, introduces a unique element to the environment.

Textures

Incorporating diverse textures alongside metals enhances the visual and tactile appeal of a space.

Imagine entering a room where the subtle shine of copper contrasts with the rustic feel of a stone accent wall, or where the polished finish of bronze highlights the texture of a rug. This blend doesn't just look good; it also stimulates the senses.

Discover the
possibilities

Depending on the product, MIDAS Metall®, is processed as a paint or a finish applied with a spatula, trowel or palette knife and allows both straight and organic surfaces to be coated joint-free. It results in smooth or structured metal layers between 0.1 and 2.0 mm thick. After drying, the surfaces are finely sanded and subsequently polished. The surface can either be sealed or simply left natural. Depending on the object, processing is possible both in the workshop and on-site.

Not only through various application techniques, but also in final processing, the finishing of the surface can be custom-designed. As well as classical polishing of the metal skin, specific techniques of black-finishing or processing of MIDAS as an inlay are also interesting.

We will be happy to advise you on the individual applications and your possibilities.

  • What is MIDAS Metall®?
MIDAS Metall® is an original German-made metal liquid coating. It consists of a mixture of metal powder and a special binder component. • Can I apply MIDAS Metall® myself or do I need a professional?
MIDAS Metall® is applied by a trained and qualified professional. The application of MIDAS Metall® requires specific expertise through specialized training and experience. Particularly, the surface preparation, application of the coating using professional tools and equipment, and the final professional sanding are crucial steps that must be carried out carefully and precisely to achieve optimal results. • Is MIDAS Metall® environmentally friendly?
MIDAS Metall® is a natural product, consisting of 90% metal. Metal occurs naturally in the form of minerals and ores. 10% of MIDAS Metal® consists of a binding mixture, which is manufactured in Germany. Overall, MIDAS Metall® is an environmentally friendly product because it is completely sustainable and very durable, and it is made from genuine metal.
  • Which metals and colour variations are available for MIDAS Metall®?

As a rule, 24 hours should elapse from the time of application until the surface is dry.
