Can you imagine my face when I received the Lexus RX 500h F Sport for a test drive? Yes, exactly—a big smile! However, living and breathing a natural colour palette, my first thought was, "Oh no." My sporty hybrid SUV is blue! And when I say blue, I don't mean midnight blue or classic dark blue. To be precise, my Lexus is a shiny, bright Poseidon blue. "This won’t look good on my social media feed," I joked with my husband.
Despite my initial reaction, I instantly loved the exterior with its almost sculpted sides, raised hood, and, of course, the iconic Lexus spindle grille. As the sun pierced through the azure sky, casting a golden glow upon the world below, I found myself embarking on this journey. With the promise of a sunny day and temperatures soaring to a balmy 32 degrees Celsius, the soft breeze of the beach beckoned irresistibly.
And what better way to traverse the coastal roads than behind the wheel of the Lexus RX 500h F Sport, a symbol of luxury and performance? My blue SUV glistened under the sunlight, its sleek lines and bold contours reflecting the brilliance of the day. Eager to begin my adventure, I slid into the driver's seat.
The interior is awash in beautiful materials; metal trims the dashboard and pedals, while soft leather covers the seats and door panels. It’s a mix of modernity with a touch of retro charm—right up my alley. The infotainment screen is a large 14” display that is colourful and very easy to operate. It moves lightning fast. From the screen, you can operate the navigation system, the Mark Levinson Sound System, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and the car settings, including changing the drive modes and monitoring hybrid energy flow. This screen also houses a fantastic 360-degree rear-view camera with extreme clarity. You get voice recognition, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well.

For me, the Lexus RX 500h F Sport was a rather nice place to spend my time. I must admit, I even fell in love with the popping Poseidon blue.
